This India Pale Ale is a big, black, hoppy monster, with everything you love about a traditional West Coast IPA while its dark chocolate roasted malts keep it true to its East Coast roots. Five different hop varieties, including two different dry hop additions. Add to the layering of hops in this beer and make it deliciously complex yet easy to drink. Sticky to the last drop.

Pine, grapefruit peel and chocolate malt aroma. Dark brown with large tan head. Moderately sweet chocolate malt, and strong bitter pine and grapefruit peel flavor. Good body and balance. Very nice.

Big can. Metalic aroma as it nears my lips. Taste is large barge and in charge. Bitter black almost licorice ipa, wew. Large foamy rocky head. So dark. Think burnt imperial iap. Kick in the face this is. Rude freacken nasty mahfah at the end. If you liek big black mouth coating ipa, you need to ignore my numbers adn give this a spin. Put your seatbelt on.

Sample at Hoof Hearted during the Dragonsaddle Triple IPA Can Release on 11/15/2015. The beer pours a dark brown color with a medium tan head that recedes steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, hops and pine. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, resiny hops and a touch of chocolate. The finish is malty up front with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

16 ounce can from Beer Study, 4/1/15. Dark brown with a massive foamy tan head, most of the glass, a sign of something amiss. Aroma of tart fruits and roasted malt. The taste is chocolate, tart fruits, nuts. Thin bodied. Something is wrong here.

Sampled at GABF 2013. Pours a watery black with some beige head. Nose is insane, tropical fruit, pine, malt, light bread crust, white grape. Flavor also has quite a bit of tropical fruit, candy, orange. Clean, piney finish. Very nice. Drinkable. Solid for the style.
