Fairly crisp and clear golden and lightly copper coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall off-white head that fades pretty quickly but leaves a subtle lace on the sides. Aroma of bright citrus fruits, a lot of bitterness and some solid malts here along with a herbal note and some perfume as well. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich, thick and chewy malts show at first with a lot of pungency from the hops with a complex hop bite that shows the citrus fruit of course from the Mosaic hops, but also a perfumey, grassy finish that adds to the bitterness quotient. Aftertaste is rich, malty, balanced and ever-so-slightly sweet with a lot of bitterness, but also a good deal of malts here that are balanced nicely with a light sweetness at the end. Overall, a pretty nice and bitter IPA that borders on Imperial status, but the balance of malts here and the sweetness makes this seem as a typical IPA with perhaps a bit more richness than usual. Very nice to sample and better to me than the Mo'Hazy IPA that I had in cans while here on the island. Great to sample on vacation here with my wife and family, sampled this sixteen ounce pint pour on draught at the brewery here in Kihei, Maui, Hawaii on 14-April-2022 with my wife and three kids while on Spring Break for US$7,00.
