Stop number 10 on our #IPAonTour is Germany! Of course being October it is the time of year to celebrate their beer drinking tradition of Oktoberfest, to do this we decided to brew an IPA with all German hops and malts.
This IPA is unique because we have used traditional Bamberg smoked malts, one of the malts is smoked with Beechwood, which gives the beer characteristics of a ham hock. The other is Oaked Smoked Wheat, giving the beer a nice wood fired smoke flavour and aroma.

Cloudy amber with a thick head. Has a nice earthy aroma...German hops but unique usage. Earthy taste, mellow bitterness...smoky...different.
