12oz bottle gifted by Pruf, thanks Chris. Pretty color of ruby amber brown. I opened this last night but now I have a child which makes me fall asleep asleep at 10 pm bc they wake up at the same time every morning NO MATTER WHAT. I had barely poured this into my Hill Farmstead glass. I then woke up at 2am. I walked downstairs, turned off lights, put away stuff and placed glass with half full bottle of beer into fridge. It’s finally 8pm and baby is asleep. So, I have a small window to get this done. A little astringent with light cherry. But otherwise a nice hefty barleywine with a soft heat at the end. I like the heat and can use more other flavors.

Amber-brown. No head. I actually get some sort of serrano stuff, with wood and agave. The agave is fairly heavy as is the wood character. The malts are sweet, but only a touch sugary. Alcohol is fairly heavy on the finish. That sugary, golden agave syrup sweetness kicks in. A barley wine with a really unique character. The toasted chile character is an interesting nuance because this beer is one of the most balanced chile beers, yet with the chiles still being really prominent. This is a pretty good experiment.

12 oz. bottle, pours a fairly clear bright dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out lots of wood, light tequila, a touch of agave and caramel - no hint of chili peppers. Flavour is quite spicy, with lots of chili peppers, followed by caramel and light tequila. Low sweetness, with a very spicy finish. Unusual as hell -- the spicy peppers stand out and work well-enough, finishing on tequila barrels. Solid stuff.

Bottle at Churchkey. Beautiful clear bright ruby golden color. Aroma of subtle smoulder, tannins. Taste has boozy tannins, light smoke, edge of peppers. Tasty.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle at the 23rd anniversary party. Cloudy orange, with a medium, beige head. The aroma is agave (strong, no joke tequila), syrup, almonds, green wood, and peat. Strong, earthy sweetness up front, with a good bitterness and mild tart note in the finish. Heavy body, hard, mineralish, and harsh. This is a unique and fun beer, but very hard and sticky. This is a very serious, harsh beer, but truly unique and interesting.

This beer pours a murky brownish-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. The aroma consists of fruit, oak and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of oaky tequila, malt, citrus and subtle pepper. The finish is fruity and spicy with a peppery aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours.dark ruddy copper with a transient beige head. Aroma is like ancho chile with agave and even tequila. Med + body. Flavor is chile with wood and tequila aspects. Moderately "hot". Well done for the type of effort.
