440ml can. Pours very dark brown with a large head. Aroma is sweet, with biscuit, marshmallow and chocolate yoghurt. Taste has sweet biscuit and chocolate, with marshmallow and chocolate on the finish. Slightly yeasty aftertaste.

Northern Monk Cans At Home Evening Beer#3 of 3. You know it's going to be decent just from the chocolate and marshmallow aroma you get when pouring this beer. The latter of these two ingredients is dominant with a sugariness about it. As such it's quite a rich tasting stout, although this is a plus point in character - for me at least! The sum of its parts masks to an extent its strength.

440ml can from Tesco Extra in Chesterfield - opaque black body with a massive lasting tan head. Bit of a sweet and sugary mallow nose, some roasted chocolate notes offset the sweetness, but it still has a cloying sweetness that takes a lot to shift.

Black, opaque with a beige head. The aroma is very spicy, with allspice, nutmeg, and ginger, and chocolate with a hint of sweetness in the background. The taste is similar, the American smore is not noticeable, a rather chemical bitterness drowns out this beer.

Can from Tesco. Nose is sweet, caramel, wafer, biscuit, marsmallow, fudge, chocolate, hint of cherry. Taste is marsmallow, cherry, vanilla, caramel, fudge, pastry, wafer, catering chocolate.
I can't taste the base beer much, just the added flavourings. Very poor very synthetic tasting.
