440ml can. Poured almost black in colour with a huge, lasting, frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty, marshmallow. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, sugary, marshmallow, light chocolate, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, despite the initial bubbles.

440ml can @ Benzai's Anti-Carnival Valentine's Day Tasting, Feb 26. Pours dark, unclear, with a good tan head. Lots of gooey marshmallows from the off.. sweet and then some.. marginal chocolate cookie notes.. not my go-to adjunct stout but achieves its purpose well.

Can at home picked up from Tesco. An opaque black brown coloured pour with a lasting light tan head. Aroma is nice big toasted marshmallow, jammy wagon wheel, chocolate, cocoa powder, lactose, milk chocolate. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, toasted marshmallow, bitter dark chocolate, fudge, jammy wagon wheel, some hot alcohol. Good fun.

Can shared at Anti-Carnavalstasting 2026. Opaque black color, small to average sized beige head. Aroma is weird, candy ish, chemical. Flavor is even worse. Awful, absolutely dreadful. Can't even finish this. Yuk.

Northern Monk Cans At Home Evening Beer#3 of 3. You know it's going to be decent just from the chocolate and marshmallow aroma you get when pouring this beer. The latter of these two ingredients is dominant with a sugariness about it. As such it's quite a rich tasting stout, although this is a plus point in character - for me at least! The sum of its parts masks to an extent its strength.
