Tasting at Black Metal West
Hazy blond colour. Saison with moderate lemongrass character, farm smell, dry and well carbonated mouthfeel, lemon peel in the final, light astringency.
Very good.

Hazy yellow. The aroma is quite lemony, on the palate the lemon is quite a bit sugarier. The dandelion shows up in the nose if you imagine, but I don't see the complex bitterness on the palate - I have no idea how dandelion greens would be expected to manifest in a beer anyway. Not bad - the lemon and tartness go well, the foeder just dries this out in the finish a bit. Nice.

Bottle at Paradiso Dupont. Crystal clear yellow color, champagne bubbles, pillowy white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of straw and dusty white pepper. Lots of lemon in the flavor, with light funk and a dry finish. Hi carbonation interferes with the mouthfeel. Otherwuse a very tasty beer.

On tap at Saraveza Farmhouse Festival, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out citrus zest and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with notes of citrus, and rustic farmhouse notes. Dry, citrus and bready notes. Complex and well-designed.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours lightly hazy golden straw color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big lightly tart lemon, lime, pear, pineapple, grapefruit, melon, green apple, white grape, pepper, hay, straw, herbal, grass, musty funk, light wheat/cracker, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, lemon/dandelion, and light pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lightly tart lemon, lime, pear, pineapple, grapefruit, melon, green apple, white grape, pepper, hay, straw, herbal, grass, musty funk, light wheat/cracker, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/acidic tartness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, pear, pineapple, grapefruit, melon, green apple, white grape, pepper, hay, straw, grass, musty funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, lemon/dandelion, and light pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from fruit acidity, yeast spiciness, and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp/acidic/sticky, and lightly grainy/creamy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice fruited Brett saison style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, lemon/dandelion, and light pale malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
