Our take on a traditional Bavarian Oktoberfestbier, originally brewed every year by only six Munich breweries to celebrate Germany’s annual festival of fun. This Oktoberfestbier pours a bright golden colour, with a satisfying malt character. It’s single-hopped with an experimental German-grown hop varietal: the intriguingly named HS5433. We’re delighted to be partnering with hop growers Hopstiener, having been selected as the first UK brewery to use this brand new hop. Its gentle bitterness and herbal balance work perfectly in an Oktoberfestbier, with hints of green tea and marmalade.. Store and serve chilled. Our beer is unfiltered and may contain sediment - pour gently.

NOTE: originally named 'Oktoberfestbier', this beer was renamed in 2025 to simply 'Festbier'

440ml can via Beer52: BB 21st August 2024, drank at home on 10th January 2024. I allowed the sediment to leave the can, so my glass held a slightly hazed golden beer with a snow white head. I thought this a bit harsh and bitter compared to most malty and sweet Oktoberfest biers I've tasted over the years.
