We are proud to present the festival beer for the Dutch Aeropress festival 2025. For the fourth time we teamed up with our friends at Keen Coffee. This year we’ve made a coffee IPA, showcasing the surprising way in which specialty coffee and aromatic hops work together.
The festival coffee this year comes from Mooleh Manay Estate in Karnataka, India. Komal and Akshay rediscover and cultivate native varieties, helping to shape a more climate-resilient future for coffee.

Licht gesluierde, goudgele body met een fijne witte kraag met redelijke retentie. Geur is inderdaad (vooral) koffie(dik), met ook wat mout en fruit. Retronasaal veel koffie, lichtjes fruit. Smaak is gebrand bitterig, een vleugje zoetig. Lichte body. Redelijk wat CO2. Flink bittere (koffiedik) afdronk.

Can. Slight hazy golden. Huge coffee with pecans, cocoa, earthy. Soft citrus, crisp malts. Huge coffee in a very nice way, but not very much IPA. Nice malt base though. Just medium sweet and bitter. Crisp oily body.

330ml can. Minimally cloudy, orange golden colour with small, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Coffee aroma, widely disguised fruity hoppy flavours and biscuity, pale malty background, notes of instant coffee, hints of sugared coffee, mocha, whiffs of orange. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally biscuity, pale malty and bitter hoppy, some roasty coffee bitterness on top, a weak, fruity hoppy touch of orange and lemon.
Slightly oily, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously slightly dry palate, fine, dense, soft, mildly prickly carbonation.
Coffee dominated aroma, un-integrated coffee flavours in taste - not fully convincing.

Straight from can during a long hike. Aroma: Hoppy, coffee bean. Taste: Blend of hoppy IPA and slightly sourish coffee bean. Nice amount of bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Light sweet, over moderate bitterness. Dry finish. Ok.
