Pecan Pie, one of the quintessential southern desserts, embodying the region’s love for rich, indulgent flavors, has made its way into the pantheon of Boulevard’s barrel-aged beers, also noted for its rich and indulgent flavors. After resting in solera-aged rum barrels for 9 months, maple syrup is added to the angels share of the imperial brown ale and aged for an additional 6 months. Whether you call it – pe-KAHN pie, or PEA-can pie, there aint’t no arguing that this beer is divine, and if that ain’t the truth then grits ain’t groceries.

12oz bottle from Brewers Haven. Dark, clear brown pour yields few bubbles. Boozy aroma, sweet, sugary. Taste is brown sugar, molasses and rum, trying hard to detect any pecans. Cloying, overly sweet and boozy.
