Bottled 330ml. -at Goblet Zagreb, shared with Hrabren. Pitch black coloured, minimal head, coconut and alcohol in the nose. Dark chocolate, coconut, alcohol, some caramel and light vanilla with moderate alcohol in the finish. Sweet but pleasant.

0.33 l bottle shared with Ogi at Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Pitch black oily with minimal head. Aroma is milk chocolate at first, cocoa, chocolate liqueur also lacquer and alcohol. Hints of biscuit and chocolate and caramel. Flavour is sweet chocolate, cocoa and coconut, molasses, caramel. Moderately to heavily sweet, oak and roast giving some balance. Smooth, oily, heavy, sticky, sweet finish.

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 33B: Bourbon / 30A: cocoa nibs, coconut, lactose / 20C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 31.12.2030 (BB: 31.12.2030) AROMA: medium-high boozy aroma of bourbon, followed by medium-low cocoa and low coconut background. APPEARANCE: very dark brown body to black and opaque. no head. slight particles in suspension. TASTE: initial medium-high blend of bourbon, sweet chocolate and medium-low to low coconut. low bitterness with a sweet finish that evolves to semi-dry with hints of coconut. MOUTHFEEL: high body with low to none carbonation. alcoholic warmth being almost hot. OVERALL: a pastry stout with very prominent bourbon but almost in balance with cocoa in the flavor. coconut is a bit overwhelmed by bourbon and cocoa. maybe with less barrel contact (24 months is way too much).
