440ml can, shared with Frau Eva. Mid-sweet, Yuletide feel. (Tromsø, 23.12.2025).

440ml can. It was a gift, probably from House of Trembling Madness, York, and drunk at home. Its very, very dark brown with a small and quickly dissipating tan head. Bitter cooking chocolate, almond extract, stone fruit and some vanilla in the aroma. Taste is pretty sweet, buoyed up by the almonds, with a gritty, almost ashy bitterness beneath. Would make a nice balance but it jars a bit. Overall impression is good though, and it's a decent if imperfect drink. Thick body with carbonation on the low side.

Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pours cloudy dark brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of coffee and malt, with notes of yeast and touchesnof lactose. Bitter, roasty, coffeelike onset, with touches of hops and sweet notes of malt, lactose and dried fruit, as well as hints of liquorice. Roasty aftertaste with notes of liquorice and malt, and lactic touches. Warming alcohol presence. Good.
