We brewed Black Trident for our friends of Poseidon.beers.
This Imperial stout is brewed with lots of chocolate malt, oats, special B and Biscuit malt.
The result is a great imperial stout without adjuncts with a nice roastiness, round mouthfeel, enough body, some chocolate, toffee and licorice after taste compared with a fair bitterness in the end.

Dark fudge, caramel sauce, molten fondant, cappuccino, dried fig & date, liquorice. Sweet fig & raisin, dark fudge & chocolate sauce maltiness, softly bitter coffee. Earthy hops, dried fruits, warming liqueur-like alcohol. Medium body, oily-sticky texture, soft carbonation. Almost pastry-like Stout but the malts do all the work here, cleverly done by Galea.
