Bavarian-style wheat beer. A very refreshing and effervescent unfiltered ale with pronounced notes of banana and clove. Weizen is lightly hopped, and has abundant carbonation and a pleasant citric tartness. Especially nice during the hot days of summer.

Cloudy yellow color with weak white head. Medium sweet and wheat aroma. High carbonation. The flavor is at first sweet then wheat malts and lemon. Nice yeast influence too.

Smells like yeast and lemons - tastes like bananas and band-aids - not much else to say.

From the bottle, 10/8/2005. Effervescent (large bubbles) with a rusty-copper-tangerine colored body and a bubbly, poorly retained white head. Maybe passable for a pale lager, but certainly not for a supposed German Hefe. Aroma of wet leaves, light metal (brass, copper) and some dry, bland, stale biscuity malts. Weak esters struggle to keep from drowning in all of the water and bland graininess. Flavors of light chalk/crayons, grainy, ricey-like malt flavor with a poor mouthfeel (large, lazy bubbles) and a tremendously weak body. Seems like a crappy pale lager fermented at really high temperatures. Ack. My girlfriend couldnt even drink this and she has far higher a tolerance for garbage beer than I do.

Bottled, thanks marbles! Cloudy pale orange. Estery, orangey nose. Sweet and soft with notes of peach and fraspberry, Mild and true to style, but with it’s own twist. Good stuff.

Cloudy deep yellow with a smaller than average head for a weizen. Musty clove aroma some yeast. Flavor is spicy and tangy with a bitter finish. A little bit chalky.

Very cloudy yellow. Slightly wheaty aroma. Flavour is wheaty, a little bit tart, with moderate sweetness and light yeastiness. Not particularly distinctive, but not a bad beer.

This used to be an outstanding beer under the original ownership. Still a fine example but sadly not what it once was. +++ murky golden with a large foamy white head that lingered and left good lacing. Bready and yeasty with sweet honey, clove and a hint of banana. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Hazy golden colour with bright orange highlights and a very quick-dying large-bubbled white head. Very strong aroma consisting of coriander seed, bananas, yeast and a bit of lemon. Medium to Full-bodied; Very strong flavour (especially for the style) showing a nice banana characteristic as well as some good wheat and yeast tastes. Aftertaste pretty nice...the sweetness is still noticeable and there is no offensive tastes at all. A nice german styled unfiltered wheat, definately worth trying! I got this twelve ounce beer at Norm's in Vienna, Virginia.
