Bottle from BeerKangaroo, thanks for the opportunity! Pours a solid black with a good sized but short lived tan head that quickly becomes a small cap on top. Aroma’s of smoked wood or meat with a solid base of roast and caramel and hints of dark fruit. The flavor is a rich caramel and brown sugary roasted coffee malt base with bits of chocolate, fruit, and campfire wood. Medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a creamy velvety mouthfeel. This is a very nice beer, and it hides the abv fantastically! The smoke is subtle and adds a layer of complexity rather than overpowers like some other smoked stouts I’ve had.

From a 22 oz bottle shared at Ryan’s. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of lightly charred whiskey barrels. Flavors of smoke, oak and some chocolate and coffee. Viscous mouthfeel. Nice.

Bomber. Pours inky black with a long-sustaining tan head; leaves some drippy lace. Aroma consists of smoked meats, tobacco, bread, anise, chocolate. Taste is sweet and smoky, finishing bitter. Smoke isn’t extreme, just noticeable. Carbonation fairly soft, body full. Really tasty and a huge improvement over the last two smoked beers I’ve had recently.

Bottle: Poured a thick black oil with tan light brown head. Aroma is smoke and malts. Taste is a smoke burnt forward but subsides to bring in a roasted maltiness.
