This ale can only be produced in the Spring, when the nettles on the farm are at the perfect stage to be picked. Based on a 14th century recipe, this ale is supposed to help the common cold and gout!

Bottle that Dad shared - cheers! Amber, no head A bit flat and home brew-y up front, but it gets better. Tastes of sweet malt, bready yeast, straw, a light herbal note and spice (white pepper and cinnamon), with a growing fruitiness that is almost wine-like. Much better than I expected from initial impressions, quite enjoyed it by the end.

Bottle from High House Farm. Appearance - amber with a neat lacy head. Nose - biscuit and herb. Taste - cereal and light lemon herb thing. Palate - light bodied, clean and refreshingly dry. Overall - very drinkable if not that exciting.
