From tap at 4e Noordelijk Lentebieren festival Leeuwarden. Aroma is a mix of nuts, walnuts, malt, light roast, hoppy, pine, light caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and surprisingly bitter. Body is medium. Good bitter nutty Brown Ale!

Bottle. Color: Murky reddish brown, very thin beige head. Aroma: Sweetish, caramel, fudge notes, hints of dark fruit. Taste: Dark malt, caramel, vanilla and dark fruit notes, subtle spicy notes, hints of cocoa and nuts, Medium sweet, moderate bitterness, going to over moderate / medium hopbitterness with grassy and citrus notes at finish. Boozy hints. Bit creamy mouthfeel. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Nice complexity. Nice beer. In memoriam to fellow Beer Geek Oscar!

Bottle that I picked up at Dorst Craft Beer shop, Den Haag, Netherlands and shared at Moncada Tap Room, Ladbroke Grove, West London, Friday 7th October 2016 Hazy mid brown in colour with an off-white head. This is far too easy drinking for the abv, wow! There is coffee and caramel here, a little fizzy carbonation, some dried fruit and a little buzz of bitterness. Nice beer. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Commissioned Dutch craft brew made at Ramses by De Bierderie. Heard quite a lot about this so glad to taste it at GBF. Thinnish, off-white, quickly breaking head, hazy deep brownish bronze robe. Aroma of roasted walnuts, toffee, dried fig, balsamic vinegar touch, dried blue plum; dried fruitiness in the mouth, restrainedly sweet with an elderberry sourish touch underneath, quite spritzy carbo, caramelly malt middle quickly turning nutty and eventually bittersweet toasted, smooth, peppery hop bitter finish but also a lot of alcohol flirting with astringency. Bit thin in body, bit crude and a tad too alcoholic for my liking, but decent.
