Draught at Lord Hobo, 3/22/16.
Lightly to moderately hazy candle wax with a light amber tint. White head atop is messy, small and sits at cover/ring.
Really nicely floral/salty nose isn’t heavy on the raw lactic character. Much more along the lines of Lost Nation and Westbrook’s stuff. Light caramel-honey and a touch of cream, with pepper, light lactic tartness and seawater doused flowers on the end. No alcohol or flaws.
Salt in the flavor seems to add body, with honey, floral and lactic notes combining perfectly to add a savory yet tart character. Not incredibly sour, yet certainly not lacking. Carbonation is quite engaging, though mostly low. Some biscuit and cracker-like malts help provide depth. Nice!
