From the darkness came a light, offering warmth and compassion from the cold night. Nestled in the palms of the curious adventurer, Lanthrone relinquishes complexities that dance in the twilight light sparks from the scorching of oaken barrels. Illumination of one’s senses culminates in a vanilla, spice, coconut, caramel, and cherry glow. An imperial amber ale brewed with numerous caramel malts, Munich malts, and oats; aged for 13 months in bourbon barrels.

On tap at CBC 2016, yellow session. Pours brown, beige head. Sweet malty, ripe fruits, wood, caramel, some bourbon. Dry finish with some bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation.

Draught@CBC2016 (yellow session). Red colour, small beige head. Aroma is wood, sweet malts and some slight acidic and alcoholic notes. Flavour is toffee, some ripe fruits and berries along with mild oak and some vanilla to it as well.

Bottle. Pours a reddish orange color with a medium white head. A big sweet malty bourbon nose. The flavor is more bourbon, caramel, dusty dry malt. Very smooth. Awesome beer. Cherry and fruity sweet finish.

[5/13/16] Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016. Yellow session. Deep amber. Great aroma with bourbon, vanilla, caramel, cookies, nuts. Sweet flavor with caramel, bourbon, vanilla, cookies, a bit boozy. Medium-bodied.

Tap@Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016, Copenhagen - brown coloured pour with beige head. Medium sweet malty aroma and taste, toasty, caramel, dried fruity and nutty, some spices, bourbon infused wooden notes, light vanilla whisper into the finish. Very nice!
