On tap @ BrewDog, Soho. This one has a cloudy darker looking orange golden colored body. On the top there's a medium sized, fading and sidesticking off-white head trying to leave some small dots down the glass. Smells nice enough. A little watery citrus sourness. Tones of yeast, a little wet old hay. Not an amazing aroma, but it smells decent enough. It tastes alright also. Quite a grainy little one this. Mild silo sour, all that massive rush of grains is it doing it any favors really. It also has a nice little citrus lemony sourness that works OK. It's thin and near watery in the mouth and about average on the carbonation. All in all, not all that memorable really. 20.10.2016

Keg at BD Soho. It pour orange - amber with a small white head. The aroma is grainy, hay, cereal, touch of barnyard funk, earth and cracker. The taste is crisp, tart, good hit of lemon sherbet, lime, minerals, light lactic vibe, toasty grain, wheat, cereal with a dry finish. Light - medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Well - rounded and easy drinking. Approachable Berliner Weiss.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 10/21/2016. Pours lightly hazy golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with decent retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tart lemon, lime, green apple, pear, white grape, wheat, cracker, bread, salt, hay, straw, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast and light-moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of tart lemon, lime, green apple, pear, white grape, wheat, cracker, bread, salt, hay, straw, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate tartness and light yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, green apple, pear, white grape, wheat, cracker, salt, hay, straw, light funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from acidity as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, clean, fairly acidic/creamy/grainy, and slightly saline balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a very good berliner weisse. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
