An apple from South Devon dating back to 1895. Bred as a cider variety. It can also make a good cooking apple with a dry taste. Harvested mid October and pressed pretty quickly as apples don’t keep very long.

750ml bottle from the Cider Museum Shop. Orangey golden colour, short-lived foamy white head and aroma of apple, fruit, caramel, fudge. Taste is sweetish, tangy, tart, appley, juicy, fruity, caramel, with some mellow acidity. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, light carbonation, medium drying fruity finish. Nicely drinkable.
