Vårt sommerøl er litt lysere og lettere enn Rogalandspils, og med litt mindre maltsødme.
Editor’s note: Formerly known as Rogaland Sommerøl.

Rerate May 2024, 500 ml can from Kiwi Tau: Crystal clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts and newmown grass. Light bodied, but a bit too sweet flavour, moderate bitterness. Berentsens have better beers than this one.
Original rating, May 2004: (330 ml bottle). Typical fizzy pale Norwegian "sommerøl / summer beer". Maybe slightly sweeter and a tad maltier than most of our "sommerøl" - a pale lager style which is the work of the devil, aimed at people who think (or are fooled into thinking) that an ordinary pilsener would be too heavy (sic!) for them on a warm summer’s day. Oh well ... I will rerate when they actually have started brewing this beer in Egersund, but I don’t expect too much - style considered.

330ml bottle bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Bodø. Chalk white head remaining over a clear late straw coloured body. Spotty lacing. Restrained smell of grainy grass. Modest taste of grass, cereal, and a citric touch. Ends mid-dry. Easy going with the pizza. (Bodø, svenskebyen 06.10.2019).

Lys gul farge med tynt hvitt skum. Lukter mildt malt og en anelse sitrus. Lettdrikkelig butikklager. Kjenner også sitrus i ettersmaken.
