500 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Reddish brown colour, huge off-white to beige head. Aroma of caramel and brown bread. Flavour of dark fruits, caramel and brown bread, not too sweet. Easy drinking.

Bottle. The colour is hazy reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma of nuts, ryebread, grass, heather and wood. Flavour of grass, bread, raisins and some roasted malt. Has a slick mouth feel, light body and a soft bitterness. Malty (maybe too much), and nice.

Notater fra en aldeles hyggelig kveld på Våland med Phd-stipendiaten og trekkspilleren: klar og vakker rødlig kobber med fint skum som varer helt ned. Kjeks, nystekt brød, røde bær og urter. Mild bitterhet, god friskhet og tydelig mersmak. 0,5 flaske fra bryggeriutsalget.

YG 160322. Amber color with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, bread, fruit, roasted malt. Flavor is caramel, bread, roasted malt, fruit, chocolate, dried fruits. Ordinary beer.

Bottle. It pours a deep copper colored body under a nice-looking off-white head. Some curtains. The aroma has some bread and caramel, along with hints of roasted malts and dark chocolate. Some notes of dark dried fruits and fresh fruit too. It's medium bodied and sort of creamy, but a bit heavy on the carbonation. Semi-dry, with a decent bitterness. The flavor is quite similar to the aroma, malt driven, but there's also some nuttyness going on, and the dark chocolate is reduced to cocoa. A grassy, herbal and lightly piney hop note too. Towards the finish some metallic hints show up and annoys a bit. Except for that, and a bit heavy carbonation, this is sure the best Nua beer I've had for a long time. A quite crafty, well brewed Dunkel this one. 220316
