Brunauet er brygget etter en oppskrift som vant Norbyggs NM i hjemmebrygging i klasse Belgisk Øl i 2015. Ølet er brygget under veiledning av prisvinner Alex Reitan. Alkoholvolum er 7,5% og brygget med Maris Otter malt, krystallmalt, spesialmalt og havremalt. Ølet er tilsatt demerarasukker og gjæret med belgisk klostergjær.

Aroma of brown malts, toast, brown kandij sugar, dark dried fruits, mild spices. Smooth flavour, medium sweet, with the same elements as the aroma, also a slight acidity (probably not intended).

Bottle. Almost clear amber body with a nice, dense beige head. Aroma has malt, toast and light roasted coffee. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, toast, dry fruit and moderate bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Decent.

Bottled (Vinmonopolet Kirkenes). Amber colour, beige head with some lace. Aroma is fruity, floral, mild salty notes with a bit of yeast. Flavour is yeast, spices, some glue and mild toasted and toffeeish notes. Pleasantly balanced, but a bit boring.
