A coffee stout? Well, we must be in Autumn now. This tasty number is the perfect transitional drink for the colder weather.

Cask at Hogshead, Wolverhampton. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small foamy cream head and good lacing. There’s coffee, malts and vanilla in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet with a slight tang to it. Malts and coffee again to the fore plus berry fruits and chocolate, with some darker fruits being detectable later. Sweetness lasts into the finish. This is rather nice.
