Dark with a creamynhead. Light milk chocolate, sweet molasses, a bit sweet. Creamy body. Something slightly off here. Not bad but feels like it isn’t where it was meant to be.

4 oz pour on draft at The Public Option with DCLawyer. Impromptu stop on the way from 3 Stars to Atlas. Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, cocoa, light soy sauce, roasty notes. Tastes of dark chocolate, cocoa, roasty notes, light licorice, caramel. Medium body with a dry finish.

Sampled at Public Option pours a deep brown with some tan head. Nose has toast, bread crust, some light chocolate, light molasses. Flavor has some chewy grains and oats, some chocolate, bread crust, brown sugar. Finishes creamy with some sweetness.

Nice mix of roast and dark chocolate. Pours black with decent head and lacing. Creamy consistency. A hint of coffee. Light bitter and tangy finish. Tap at brewpub.
