Cask pour at Special Brews. Pours a nitro like copper brown with tons of foam. Odd compost malt aroma. Flavor is pleasant. Rich malt up front, with a soft bittering compliment finish. A hint of fruit in there. Overall, all flavor is light, but this drinks very nicely. I unique cask offering for my records. Pretty good.

Cask at the Bootlegger, High Wycombe, 16/12/15. Clear golden with a moderate off White covering. Nose is bready, grain, light peach, floral notes, straw, hint of orange. Taste comprises sweetish malt, light caramel and candy, floral notes, light citric peel. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok easy drinking cask affair.

Cask, on gravity at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol October 2015. Deep amber in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. bready malts, a touch of fruit, nutty sweetness and a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - toffee and light biscuit. Some citrus too. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light bodied with decent balance. Overall - a solid but unremarkable bitter.

Cask at the Montague Pyke. It pours clear deep amber with a decent beige head. The nose is initially fairly restrained... yet rich, dried fruits, blackcurrant, fruit cake, jam, wood and leather. The taste is rich, woody, earth, old leather sofa, cereal, toasty grain, berry, some bitterness and chewy malt with a firm, dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Although it doesn’t wow me, it does have some nice subtle nuances to it.
