500ml bottle at share. Dark, ruddy brown pour, small beige head. Deep, rich toasted malts first in the aroma, woody, boozy elements after. Taste is more of the rich, roasty malts, bourbon flavors accompanied with boozy accents and a nice warmth. Sumptuous.

650 ml bottle. Pours black with short Yanish head. Aromas of soy, slick roasted malts, and dusty dark chocolate. Flavors follow same wuth emphasis on dark chocolate plus dark vanilla and molasses. Dry. Very good

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a large brown foamy head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt notes, chocolate malt with some nice bourbon notes. Taste is also a mix of caramelized malt notes with some chocolate notes and bourbon and vanilla notes. Body is pretty full with good carbonation. Very solid BA beer.

Black colour. Brown head. Aroma of chocolate and dark malts. Full bodied, moderately sweet, dark chocolate, a bit salty, tar, with mild spirit, and light Bourbon.
More balanced than the Deadfall side-to-side, but less interesting.

Pitch black colour. Good dark malt base, dark sugar. Moderate sweetness, it has nice alcohol warmth, bourbon.
Very nice.

On tap at Holy Mountain, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out bourbon upfront, which is somewhat muted by the oats, and some dry cocoa. Flavour is really rounded, with lots of oats, big bourbon, a little vanilla, and dry cocoa. Decadent, yet not too sweet. This is way better than I remember this beer in an early incarnation. Lovely stuff.
