12 ounce bottle, 6/12/16. Slightly hazy copper, large foamy tan head. Good retention. Aroma of peppers, dried apricots and pale malt. The taste is peppers, vinegar, pale malt and a hint of apricot. Medium bodied, mild lingering spice, high carbonation. Interesting. Rating 12.1K!

Draught @ Catfish. Hazy dark amber with large foamy beige head, very faint caramel aroma, low carbonation, sweetish caramelized malt taste with a kick of chili in the second half, thin body, medium caramel finish with throat burning chili aftertaste. Quite smooth and interesting.

Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a caramel-brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head that left great lacing. The aroma was sweet, malty and a bit toasty with a hint of hot pepper. The flavor was sweet and malty with notes of honey, yeast, nut and a moderate vague hot pepper presence. Long hot pepper finish. Moderately full bodied. Tasty.

Apricot nose, slightly vinegary. Tea colored, medium yellow head. Cocoa, dried leaves, tree bark, orange peel, malt. Medium body, easy carbonation, subdued prickly heat. A strange concoction of flavors that don’t normally go together. Not horrible, somewhat enjoyable, but definitely weird.

12oz bottle. This is a bunch of shit. Its sweat tea malts, very vanilla. Then a smallest hint of hot spice at the end. Nothing enough to balance the overwhelming sweet malts and sweet adjunct flavors. My first DuClaw beer in a decade, apparently they suck now.

Sample during at Daily Growler Powell during the "5th Friday $5 Fest" on 04/29/2016. Clear dark golden color witha thin white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of fruit, peppers and malt. Medium body with flavors of ripe fruit, chili pepper and malt. The finish is mildly spicy with a peppery aftertaste. Decent overall.
