22oz bomber, big "ups" to SHIG for hitting me with the puppy (he always, always has my back), thanks Shawn!, pours with a clear copper body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up smooth malts, thin semi sweet banana, a thin spicy note, floral hops and then a sense of spicy, pine and grassy hops. The taste delivers smooth sweet malts, smooth thin banana nuanced malts, a sense of esters and then a modest level of whiskey booze. To midway it picks up muted spicy oak, bitter floral hops and barrel boozy whiskey. This is smooth and an easy drinking sipper.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy amber with a creamy near-white head. Aroma of light bourbon with some slight wood notes. Med + body. Flavor? Strangely it does taste like a wheat wine! There’s a little sweetness, but also oak and a little rye. It’s actually quite delicate. Heat is essentially non-existent. Potentially deadly, but entirely marvelous.
