On tap at Bauhaus, pours a dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted bready malt and a bit of nuttiness. Flavour has toasted bready malt, a touch of sugars, and earthiness. Finishes toasted and lightly sweet. Decent.

12 oz can purchased at the Trader Joe’s in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Canned on 4/3/17 is what I believe it says on the bottom of the can (it’s a little smudged). The pour is a black deep brown with a one inch khaki head that falls pretty quick. The aroma is cane sugar, roast malt, and additional char. The taste is the roast malt initially, followed by pine and the cane sugar, along with a bit of soft milkiness and finishing dry with additional roast and char. The palate is light to medium bodied, active carbonation and the clean dry roast finish. Easy drinking beer, nicely done.
