On tap at Vermont tap house.
The appearance was a somewhat clear to ruddy hazy red color. Bar pour’s kind of head yields no lacing.
The smell had tart cherries up front with a light underscore of sweetness. Light floral and a broadened sour refined earthiness rolls about.
The taste was mainly sour backed up by the tartness of the cherries. Citrus comes back to balance nicely.
On the palate, this was light bodied with a decent crisp dry feel on my tongue
Overall, as a Berliner weisse, it seems kinda weak on the wheat, still, I think I can see what Smuttynose was doing here and I think I could come back to this.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Sweet cherry and yeast aromas. Dry and tart with cherry upfront turning to marshmallow and mild pith in the continuing dry lasting finish.

500 ml bottle from Sparrow-Downtown, 10/25. Pours clear orange with a slightly pink hue, but mostly orange. An off white head sits on top, with average-plus lacing. Sweet cherry aroma that has some wheat to it as well. The flavor is more tart, but otherwise just like the aroma. Tart cherry over wheat. Medium to lighter bodied with average carbonation and a slightly tingly, puckery finish. Interesting tart over sour fruity beer. Refreshing for sure, and a very nice effort. I enjoyed this.

Bottle from Table & Vine. West Springfield. It pours hazy rose with a small white head. The nose is soft, juicy, raspberry cheesecake, cherry jam, biscuit, lactic acid and even more cheesecake. The taste is crisp, tart, cherry cheesecake, raspberry, lactic twang, lemon rind, decent acidity, tart red berry and green apple. Medium body and fine carbonation. Too much cheesecake going on for my liking. Not so great.

Draft at Novare Res. Light pink color with a red hue, thin white head. Aroma shows very mild tart cherries and light yeast. The flavor displays some"vanilla cake" bread base with the tart cherry giving a bone dry texture over the palate. Cherry is natural and very refreshing tartness. I think this maybe my favorite in the Short Weisse series.
