Shucker Stout is dark and full of complex roasted/coffee/chocolate flavors. It’s brewed to ferment very completely to result in a dry and easy drinking finish. This stout is not motor oil. It won’t make you feel full after drinking just one but still carries a full spectrum of flavors and complexity.

it's a strong for a stout, which is weird for a 5.3%. gotta drink local.

Very dark brown coloured body with a very large, deep and rich brown head that fades very quickly and leaves just about nothing on top, even after just a few seconds. Aroma of rich deep roasted malts with molasses, coconut, caramelised sugars with some anise and spicey notes with a hint of brine and rich notes from the oysters. Medium to Full-bodied; Super strong rich roasted, toasted and pungent oatmeal and malts come through with some anise and licorice elements, along with some lactose and bitterness, but the malts, sugars, molasses and deeply pitted fruits are the most noticeable here, along with some brine and pure oyster notes in a great way. Aftertaste shows the pungency and richness of both the malts, the spices and especially the oyster and briney notes with the beer being thick, chewy, pungent and strong, despite it only clocking in at 5,3 per cent! Overall, a very nice oyster stout with a great richness, a lot of roast, lactose and sugars with a good level of sweetness on the end, but much more pungency and astringency here. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Ye Old Spirit Shop in Frederick, Maryland on 29-November-2020 for US$2,24 after cutting down our family Christmas Tree for the year, sampled at my house here in Washington on 25-February-2021 on perhaps one of the last slightly chilly days of the year.

12oz can. Opaque brown-black body. No real head. A little undercarbonated. Pleasant malt tones. Chocolate, caramel, toffee. Overall it lacks much finesse. Nonetheless, a pretty drinkable, classic, approachable Stout. OK.

Pretty good oyster stout. Lots of black roast and a bit of salt that works well with the dryness like British humour. Black pour with decent head and lacing. A hint of caramel. Bottle.

Draft at the source. Clear dark brown color, thick brown head with good retention and lacing. Nice aroma of earthy brownies, lightly burnt. Taste has cocoa powder, coffee grounds, earthy finish. Nice.
