Bottle split at RB Best Hotel Lobby Share, post festival, 31/01/16. Pale yellow with a moderate off white head. Nose is pissy citric rinds, lemon curd, straw, light funk. Taste comprises lemon rind, lightly singed straw, faint yeast, light acidic bibble, hay bale. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Middle of the road kind of saison ... didn’t really come together for me.

Sample at the taproom. Hazy yellow-gold color with a medium bone white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of herbal yeast, fruit and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of yeast, apple and grainy malt. The finish is mildly charred malt and a bit of apple. Decent overall.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is rather grain forward white bread and a very light smokey note. Some light rye notes with medium apple character. A light, herbal, phenolic spicy note. Pours a hazy, pale, straw color with a large, frothy, pillowy white head that does not seen to recede at all. Moderate lacing and no legs. Flavor is slightly acidic to a medium light acidity with a light sweetness. Medium light apple notes with moderate grain character. White bread, some light smoke notes and rye spice. Medium light phenolic notes with some moderate fruity esters. A bit grassy. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, better than I was expecting when looking at the ingredients. The flavor and aromas are all well balanced and none really overwhelms the other. Still not an amazing saison though.

Bottle shared during RBWG. Pours unclear yellow with a creamy white head. The nose has some doughy wheat bread, light ash, rind. Light sweet flavor, rubbery and ashy, with lemony tartness, some dirty hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Harsh bitterness in the finish, more ash and rubber, lemon. Ugh, this is pretty rough.
