Grumbler purchase from Breeze-IN, Juneau AK.
This was poured into a pilsener.
The appearance was a nice hazy dark bronze to caramel brown color. A one finger white foamy head lasted for a good thirty seconds before gently dieing. The lacing formed a glossed over semi - thick coating.
The smell had a rich dark nutty caramel maltiness running in and out of a light toffee. Crisp noble hops play softly upon my nose.
The taste was mainly sweet malty caramel covered nuts. Thereโ€™s a lingering nutty to caramel aftertaste leading into a watery caramel finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a good sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for the style and for me. Thereโ€™s a nice rich smooth and somewhat sticky caramel maltiness rolling over my tongue.
Overall, for the style this is definitely up to par in fact I think Iโ€™d rather have this before a SA Boston Lager. Thank you Silver Gulch for sending another one down here.

Deep amber and copper coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel and pit fruits, a little malt and a bunch of metal and grapes - interesting. Light-bodied; Sharp malty and lightly nutty flavour at first with a lingering metallic note and some very mild hop flavours near the end. Aftertaste shows some cardboard maltiness, a touch of grapes and a little pit fruit flavours. Overall, an okay beer and interesting for the style - a lot of malt present and a good bit of caramel and metal coming together for the flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 26-June-2010 sampled at home before leaving for Hawaii on 03-March-2011 in Washington.

Bottle thanks to AmEricanbrew. Pours with a fleeting tan head and a golden body. Aroma is watery, with very little actual aroma. Taste is much the same with soggy wheat.
