This is a 2013 IPA. Nice change of pace from all the haze. Thanks, Alaska Billy!!

On tap at King St, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out forceful piney hops, bitter citrus peel and biscuity malt. Flavour is harsh, with bitter hops, some pine, and chaotic alcoholic notes. Poorly calibrated though not infected. Needs work.

Very clear, but deep copper, bronzed and even light brown coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall tan head that's fairly large bubbled and dies very quickly, all above the very clear, barely hazy deep coppered glow. Aroma of pineapple, grass, pine, resin, flowers and a syrupy, very potent sweetness that's right behind the deep hops, but the malts here seem thin. Medium-bodied; Deep, very syrupy and resinous flavours of the hops shine up front, with a pretty big bitterness from the alpha acids with a slight bite of earthy and fairly nutty malt notes that provide a light hit and balance with a good deal of sweetness at the end. Aftertaste shows the resin, pineapple, pine, syrup and deep nutty notes that mainly show the bitter hops, but fairly robust, pretty balanced and all end nicely with the sugars from the syrup and caramel finishing things off well. Overall, a very nice, older school Imperial IPA that has a great bitterness, but better range and balance of hop bitterness and sweetness! Great to sample as it starts getting cooler here on the East Coast (nowhere close to Alaska temperatures, of course), but nice to have this fresh - well recommended, if you can find it! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 05-October-2021 for US$4,35 sampled at my house here in Washington on the other end of our fine country on 29-November-2021.

Thanks to Rogueone for sharing a bottle. Hazy golden color with a medium white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrus, herbal hops and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a copper to bronze sort of glossiness. Some stringy sliding lace.
The aroma had some orange, peach, pineapple and pinesol scents. Interesting, but alright, sure, let’s proceed.
The flavor brings those hop scents in to brush against a light caramel malt base. Long malty aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Fairly low carbonation. ABV felt fine.
Overall, it’s alright as is, but not one to seek out.
