Meemaw is a Harvest Ale brewed with sweet dried apples and conditioned on cinnamon and nutmeg. Pouring an amber color with a head of foam that rises like a pie crust in the oven, we crafted a malt bill reminiscent of flaky pastry dough. The aroma of cinnamon sugar and fresh ground nutmeg swirls above the glass, followed by notes of sweet apples. We hope you share this nostalgic treat around the kitchen table with all those you love.

Charlton draught, 12/5/25, as pictured.
There's a bit of fruity apple woven in to the spice. But it is fairly light. The spice is fairly prominent but not dominating in the nose. Rich, bready malts with light caramel, big honey and vanilla balance.
Dry, crusty, flaky, biscuity. Guess they nailed that. But I don't think it works incredibly well with the big, very dry spiciness. Some softer, sweeter, more supple malts would help balance better, I think. Very little apple in the flavor. Still, an interesting one that doesn't suffer from big sugar or intense over-spicing.

Pours a clear, reddish-brown, with small head. Aroma is cinnamon and nutmeg, some roasted grain (not smelling the apple). Flavors follow (again, where's the apple?). Clean, crisp mouthfeel. Too much cinnamon and nutmeg; not enough apple.
