500 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 10/2015. Pours lightly hazy golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a ring of lace that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of peach, tart lemon, lime, green apple, wheat, cracker, smoke, hay, straw, pepper, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, peaches, and pale/smoke malt notes; with good strength. Taste of peach, tart lemon, lime, green apple, wheat, cracker, smoke, hay, straw, pepper, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderately amount of fruity/acidic tartness and yeast spice on the finish; with lingering notes of peach, tart lemon, lime, green apple, wheat, cracker, smoke, hay, straw, pepper, light funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, peaches, and pale/smoked malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from acidity and carbonation as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly creamy/bready/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice fruited Berliner weiss style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, peaches, and pale/smoke malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV with the balanced acidity. The smoked malt was used really well, as it complimented the crackery wheat malt character in the flavors, and was not overdone. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Cloudy golden orange color, scant white head. Nice aroma of dusty fully ripe peaches and light char. Taste is very softly sour and earthy peaches with a hint of burnt straw. Understated and complex for a Berliner (or is it a Lichtenhainer?). Tasty either way.

Bottle from the brewery, shared at a tasting, 4/27/15. Hazy pale orange, thin fizzy head, poor retention. Aroma of smoke, peaches, doughy malt. The taste is tart peach, peach pits, lactic sourness and a hint of smoke. Medium bodied, strong lingering tartness.

375 ml Bottle purchased at Cigarette City Seabrook. Hazy dirty orange color with thin head in a snifter. Aroma is light funky wheat, moderate fruit and faint tones of smoke. Thankfully the smoke is a after thought in the flavor ( I was worried about that )
Has a soft carbonation level with a mild tingle on my tongue. The flavor starts with rotting peach followed by some mild lactic acid though the middle. The fruit comes in the back of the sip with the smoke hardly noticeable but still noticeable. Mild lactic / tart pucker in the back of the glands with an oily texture. If you find a bottle sitting on a shelf grab it, interesting.

Bottle from Bert’s Pours a hazy dark yellow color with smallish white head that drops almost instantly. Aromas of tart fruit, light peach, light smoke and hints of funk. The flavor is quite tart with a non descript fruitiness to back it up. Light smoke, a bit of funk and a touch of aspirin round out the flavor. Tart sharp mouthfeel with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a medium body. Interesting beer, one of the better Berliner’s I’ve had.

hazy light orange. minimal head. smells like lacto, orange citrus acid, peach, no smoked aroma at all, a bit of sulphur and out-house. This is loaded with peaches, lots of fruit, finish is old rotten cheese, like a european cheese with moldy rind. mouthfeel is thin and oily, not a lot there but the fruit is just really great.

Pours hazy orange into a snifter. White head with little retention recedes to nothing. Sweet peach and mild lactic yeast aromas. Sharp lactic peach and summer fruit front to back. Little smoke in the medium length marshmallow finish.
