Deep reddish black colour with a tiny off-white head. Aroma is dried fruits, figs, plum and some alcohol sweetness along with mild whiskey and some wooden tones. Flavour is chocolate, some whiskey, mild alcohol, figs, plum and dried fruits with mild vanilla and some wooden tones. Quite much on the sweet side, but still a good sipper.

Extremely dark mahogany brown veering to light black and topped with a beige cap of thinly knit bubbles that veer to the edge.
Nose is chocolate sauce, booze, molasses, dried fruit esters, whisky nibble.
Taste comprises chocolate, spice, fruit cake mix, chocolate pot, whisky barrel.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow boost.
Fun enough sipper if veering a touch sweet with the chocolate content.

Semi opaque dark brown - amber beer, a small tan head that lasts precisely no time at all. Soft palate, a mild dryness, modest fine carbonation, fine for this brew. Good malts, a nice creamy sweetness with a good caramel and dark toffee. A wet wood overripe whiskey soaked dark fruits vibe. Touch of oak induced vanilla. Some alcohol spice. The chocolate is quite subtle flavour wise but, provides sweetness and richness. Soft finish. A rich and varied barleywine that is ready to drink now.
