The Aromas are mainly malt, dark malt roasted barley with hints of caramel and toffee. Flavors are very similar to nose, mostly sweet with just enough carbonation and bitter to balance. Okay body and good finish. Nice beer.

Bottle in Keystone. Pours clear copper with a frothy head. The nose has toasted grains, brown bread. Light sweet flavour with more grainy, lightly toasted malts, mellow bitterness, a little earth. Light bodied with average carbonation. Toasted grains in the finish. Easygoing, good.

Pours a clear dark amber color with a medium thick light beige head that recedes gradually to a film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, hops and fruit. Light to medium body with flavors of roasted nuts, caramel malt and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a roasty malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

12 oz. bottle, from the variety pack. Pours hazy brown, with a neverending foamy, off-white head. The nose is anise, oak, dank hops, and vinegar. Sweet and malty, with an awful bitterness. Medium body, sharp, and sticky. This is a pretty poor beer. Thankfully the massive foam dampens our the aromas.

Bottle from the brewery. Malty nose, caramel, minerals, grassy, earth hops. Medium sweet, then finishes rather dry. Minerals and earth. Decent but not as good as their lagers.

Bottle: Clear, dark amber with a HUUUUGE light tan head. Toffee, baked nut-bread scent. Flavour is smooth, rich toffee malt, nuts, cola. Almost a little chocolate-note. Really wonderful.....nicely rich. The only drawback (sorta) is the giant, ridiculous head.....took about 30 separate pours into my Kolsch glass to finish the bottle.....took forever....but, I guess that let me savour it more....worth it.

Bottle. Dry hay and toffee malt aroma. Copper with giant off-white head. Moderately sweet nutty toffee malt and mildly bitter astringent hay flavor. Nice body. Very good - a solid altbier

Bottle courtesy of nuplastikk, thanks! Clear deep reddish amber color, thin off white head. Aroma of lightly burnt toast. Taste is fruity candied caramel. Lots of sugar here.
