Can direct from Newbarns. It pours slightly hazy bright golden - yellow with a decent white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, juicy, mango, peach, gooseberry, star fruit, white grape, weedy abs sine bready malt. The taste is initially smooth, clean malts, pretty green, weedy, dank, pithy, zesty, grapefruit, mango, peach, bitterness builds and lingers throughout, white grape, gooseberry, touch of spice and prickle of boozey warmth with a drying, green finale. Medium body, average carbonation and fluffy mouth feel. Nice to see Newbarns do a higher abv pale number. Bright and satisfying. Good one.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of white grape and melon rind. Flavour of lemongrass and fleshy orange. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A bright and juicy IPA. It’s nice to see a higher ABV IPA from Newbarns as most are generally 5.5%.
