Nice hazy pink and ruby coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall slightly pink head along with some bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of yeast, funk, sour grapes and blueberries, a touch of malt and a big dose of sugars near the end. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong fruity sweetness at first with some black currants that are quite noticeable along with more of a traditional (for the U.S.) flavour of blueberries, raspberries and some apples and a touch of light funk while also giving some pleasant sweetness and a lot of carbonation. Aftertaste shows a very dry complexity with some funk, grass, hay and a bit of lemons as well, along with the fruit flavours that come through as well. Overall, a very nice complex beer that shows a nice sweet and fruity flavour, but also a pleasant yeast and malt finish and a bit of sourness on the very end. Definitely worth trying if you can find it and perhaps right now if you own a bottle of this. I sampled this 37,5 cL bottle purchased from Super Market Liqours in Fort Collins, Colorado on 17-March-2016 for US$11,49 sampled at home in Washington on 05-May-2017. 2015 Vintage Bottle // Purchased: 17-March-2016 // Sampled: 05-May-2017

Tap at the brewery - turbid purplish pour - probably the most straight up sour and acidic of the three - nose of Cabernet and earth black current, tart raspberry and fruit skin funkiness - flavors of semi sour stone fruit - moderate sourness and acidity through the middle, light savoriness before a moderate Brett funk develops - cherry skin, strong cab to finish - number one is still my favorite.
