On tap at Honolulu Beer Works, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is dry and toasty in the malt department, with some dry bready crusts. Flavour is somewhat tangy (like an oyster stout) with toasted malt and dry crusty bread. Weak, flimsy malt base but clean enough. It's alright.

On tap at the brewery. Black with light brown head. Aroma is cocoa, medium body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is cocoa, dark malt, and slightly dry finish.

Dark. Some roasted notes, light cocoa, a bit earthy. Pretty standard stout. Thin body with high carbonation is a bit detracting. Decent.

Draft at the source. Clear maroon amber color, tan edge head. Chocolate coffee aroma. Taste is fruity cocoa and coffee. Nice.

Draft. Coffee, chocolate malt, and ash aroma. Black with small head. Sweet coffee, chocolate malt, and moderately bitter herbal ash flavor. Nice body. Very solid.

Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Honolulu Beerworks in Honolulu, HI. I didn’t take tasting notes for this one, but remember this being a nice moderate sweet stout with great chocolate and lactose notes. Out of the six samples I had, I think I liked this one the best but was also a bit straight forward. Would recommend though.

pitch black color. White head. Good roasted malts and licorice nose. Big full body good roastiness with licorice. Excellent.

Dark brown. Molasses, some chewy malts, very fresh, a bit thin in the finish. More residual sugar and this would be great, so impressive is the malt character.
