Radiant and balanced, BrightCider shines with Newtown Pippin apples, the pioneer variety that defined the cider palate of the Northwest.
BrightCider is made with a blend of Newtown Pippin heirloom apples and other Northwest varieties. The Newtown Pippin was the apple which defined the palate of new world ciders. Colonists found this apple so remarkable that Thomas Jefferson himself wrote from France during his travels " they have no apples here to compare with our Newtown Pippin." The BrightCider is fermented cold to slow the fermentation process, retaining the aromatics of this heirloom fruit. The result is our tribute to American heritage cider with a modern Northwest twist.

Pours clear and pale with a small quickly fading head. There’s a slightly tart apple aroma. The flavor is somewhat sweet but not too much. Quite bubbly on the palate. Straightforward. It’s okay though for me it’s missing something.

Light pour, no carbonation. Looks like white wine. Aroma also vinous, bit chalky, really, feels like white wine for me. Dry and a bit sweetish. But more about dry.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Aroma is sweet, green apples with a medium light tannin note. Light red apple notes, but this is mostly green. Pours a very clear, very pale yellow color with a faint, thin, white head that immediately disappears. No lacing or legs. Flavor is moderately sweet, but with a fairly dry finish. Medium light green apple notes with some light red apple and tannins. Hints of alcohol in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium light to light bodied with moderate carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty bland and somewhat boring cider, but it should work fine for a pork chop brine. Flavor is fairly muted with balanced sweetness and apple notes. A bit too candy-like for my preferences.

A pale blonde cider with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity apple with light acidity, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a sweet fruity apple juice with light mineral notes, plain, OK. On tap at Real a Gastropub.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours very light gold with a transient (very) white head. Lots of carbonation here. Near med body. Apple aroma. Flavor is mildly tart apple skin, but it’s really more sweet than tart. Finishes undry.
