From bottle to pint. Clear copper with off white head that retained well. Very nice looking. Plenty of caramel malt on both aroma and flavor. Not bad at all.

Tap at Annie’s a wonderful burger joint in Kona. Amber pour unsurprisingly. Nose is caramel and malt. Tastes of malt, light caramel, some faint hop citrus, paper, and berry. Mild bodied. Smooth finish.

Enjoyed on tap at Sensei Sushi in Honolulu, HI while enjoying my last sushi meal on the island :(. I didn’t take tasting notes, but remember this being decent. Nothing that really stood out, nice malty notes with a crisp finish and I could have had more of these easily.

Dull reddish-brown, thin head. Light aroma and palate balancing dry, tobaccoey hop notes with mild caramelly malts. Unexciting but balanced.

Keg at Duke’s Beach House, Lahaina, 26/04/14. Clear reddish amber with a moderate off white swirl atop the glass. Nose is toasted malt, light toffee notes, mellow fruit, hint of orange. Taste comprises toasted bread, very light smoke, toffee, less fruit than on the nose, biscuit malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so, Ok for style.
