Equal parts malted barley and malted wheat make up the base for this beer. Noble hop, tettnang, provides the bitterness and small additions of perle and centennial in the whirlpool balance out the aroma. An addition of sweet orange peel and strawberry puree prior to fermentation make this cloudy American style hefeweizen the ultimate in refreshment.

Cloudy yellow with a medium sized white head. Tangy, sweet and fruity with hints of citrus and clove. Medium finish and body.

Tap at Waikiki Maui. Hazy golden, small head. Aroma is wheat, banana, yeast. Taste is the same, wheaty, yeast. Not bad

On tap at Waikiki location. Cloudy golden with small white head. Aroma is wheat esters, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is wheat esters.

15th December 2022, part of a flight at the Waikiki Lahaina Brewpub. Hazed golden yellow pour, white crown. No clove or banana esters in the nose, a little wheat and allspice maybe. Not too sure what to make of this, I suppose it's a Hawaii Island version of the classic German style using local ingredients and brewing techniques. Not to my taste, sorry. Scored objectively!

Tap at the brewpub. Pours very hazy grapefruit with a white head. Aroma of strawberry. Medium body. Flavor is light strawberry with a touch of zest. Sorta dry. A little zest for bitter. Pleasant.

12 oz can poured at home, gifted by Hanna. Thanks! Thick appearance, murky apple golden pour, a patchy foam head. Floral like aroma, some banana like fruit, and a sweet gum idea as well. Never really sought after the style, but looked forward to this one, and the prospective Hawaiian twist to it. It sure does have one, if it's not just my imagination. Creamy hefe. Flavorful, and tropical. Interesting for sure.

Draught at the source: pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is light bubblegum. Taste is somewhat sweet, a bit spicy, low bitterness.
