Our ever-evolving cask pale ale showcases a new single hop each month, delivering a fresh twist every time. Brewed with a pale wheat, and oat base, and fermented with Vocation yeast for fruity notes and a light haze.

Barbe Rouge hops bring festival red berry and subtle stone fruit flavours, perfectly balanced with a hint of winter spice and a touch of caramel sweetness.

Vocation Catch-Up Paddle Beer#1 of 4. I've been neglecting my local brews, so this afternoon just one aim, one pub, four newbies, starting with the pale golden brew from cask three. A hoppy brew imparting some berry sweetness in both aroma and taste, but light in both areas. It's quite crisp, and easy-drinking.

Handpull cask at Vocation & Co, Sheffield. Pale gold, not quite straw, clear with a flat white head. Fruity, grassy aroma, some bubblegum. Sweet taste, at first anyway, with an almost Belgian yeast quality to the flavour. Maybe I’m imagining it, perhaps if it was called ‘roter Bart’ I’d experience it differently. Soft fruit leading to a bitter astringent finish. Light body, soft carbonation. I’m not overly keen but it’s solid enough.
