750ml bottle pours a murky amber with some creamy, off white head. Nose has booze, bready, apples, a bit vegetal, caramel, mild tobacco, a little brandy. Flavor is sticky with booze and caramel, brandy, bread crust, turbinado sugar. Full bodied, sticky finish.

Bottle at the main DC December Gathering. Poured a dark, muddy orange color with an off-white head. Aroma was citrus, light herbal hop notes. Flavor had a nice citrus character, herbal hops, light sweet malt notes.

From a bottle at the Ratebeer Dec 22 gathering 2015. Pours a clear amber with an off white head. Caramel and cardboard aroma. Flavors of butterscotch.

Bottle at the DC December Gathering #2. Dark orange with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, stone fruit, a little vegetal. Tastes of stone fruit, citrus, vegetal. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Bottle courtesy of nimbleprop. thank you! Clear deep amber color, fluffy white head. Aroma of lightly spiced and toasted caramel. Taste has vanilla, spiced brown bread toast. Nice.

Bottle thanks to Dennis. Shared with Yanick. Pours reddish amber with off white head. Nose and taste of oak, vanilla, dark and red fruits, caramel, biscuit malt and very light bourbon. Almost red wine like at times. Medium body. Great balance.

on tap @ Excelsior Café-offwhite-copper. A-med/dk fruit-cherry/raisin, sweet med malt. T-med/dk fruit-cherry/raisin, herbal/spice hop bite that’s close to metallic, sweet med malt.
