A Pale Ale in collaboration with Prizm Brewing Co. While discussing recipes with Prizm, we got excited about using the same base hops for both the Pale Ale and the IPA (think Motueka, Citra, and Simcoe), blending New Zealand and US hops to work together with our Verdant yeast. For the Pale Ale, we used Nectaron on the cold side, bringing tropical notes of pineapple, mango, and citrus fruits.

Prizm Brewing Co are one of France’s most exciting new breweries, located in Vendargues (Herault), just outside Montpellier. After tasting some of their latest delicious beers, we had to invite them for a collaboration in Cornwall as part of our Travellers Series.

Panda thanks to Cloin. A mild haze on this gold beer, small and short lived bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, getting on for semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied pale malts, getting on towards thin but, adequately sweet. Hops bring cooling pine, a forward but pleasant candy fruits, light citrus and stone fruits underneath. Soft skunk lurks about. Light crisp finish. Tasty pale ale. Tres drinkable.

Can at home, 12th December 2025. Pours a light hazy pale. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, aromatic. Taste is dry, candy, citrus and aromatic - medium bitter. Nice APA

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with a thin white head that fades. No visible carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of straw and peach. Flavour of pastel de nata and fresh nectarine. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A well rounded hoppy pale.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 05/12/2025.
Hazed orange topped with a lasting white head.
Nose is orange zest, grass, mandarin, papaya, pine needle, light floral whisper.
Taste comprises bitter orange, grass, pine needle, mandarin, guava, grapefruit.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with juicy come lightly resinous hop bitterness.
Solid pale.

440ml can. Murky golden with a white head. Aroma mango and grapefruit, lime, peaches. Taste is very juicy, slightly sweet, tropical, mango, peach, grapefruit and lime, dank finish, mild bitterness. Medium bodied, soft and smooth.

Can shared at Free Beer anniversary. Hazy light golden. Juicy hops, soft malts, oats, peach, dank dank juicy hops, bread crust. Medium swrrt and a bit less bitter. Medium bodied. Lovely.
