This winter, IBUs start accumulating like snow in Colorado with our new Accumulation White IPA . Brewing a white IPA was not only a way to salute the white beauty falling from the sky, but a direct revolt to the longstanding tradition of brewing dark beers for winter and winter seasonal beers. At least that’s what our rebellious brewer Grady Hull likes to claim as he shovels in plenty of new hop varietals and a bit of wheat for a smooth mouthfeel. Stack up a few cases of Accumulation White IPA to keep your long nights glowing blizzard white.
Admin Note: Brewed until 2021. Recipe changed to a hazy IPA in 2022.

Bottle from QClub at home. Bright straw yellow pour with sudsy head. Aroma is grassy mango hops - unusual combination but good. Not as Belgian-y as most white IPAs. Taste is similarly fruity hops - more than most white IPAs, but flavor not as pronounced as aroma. Good bitterness. Light body. Lingering bitterness. Not bad.

Citrus and decent. Medium bitter finish. Pours golden with good head and lacing. Good balance, and well done. Tap.

This beer is a pale yellow-gold color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, spices and wheat. Medium body with flavors of citrus, cloves and caramel malt. The finish is spicy with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

12oz bottle. Poured a hazy golden color with a large white head. Aroma was light grapefruit, banana notes, some straw with a touch of Belgian yeast. Flavor was light straw, with some lemony notes, light cloves. Yeasty. Pretty tasty.

Bottle. Light golden body. Frothy, white head, lasting. Aroma of resin, raw grain, citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Light nose for an IPA, especially a white IPA that one would expect more citrus and more spice.

Draft @ Oneill’s, Harrisonburg VA: Lemon nose, subtle coriander. Clear gold, medium head, good lace. Wheatgrass flavor, DMS. Grassy, light body. Weak overall, but sufficiently hoppy. Not a lot of wit character.

bottle - Pours light gold, clear, and very bubbly with a two finger craggy white head. It has some citrus and yeasty aromas. The flavor is of bitter hops and wheat malt, light to medium bodied, and reminds me somewhat of Gumballhead but not as good. It’s alright though.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance is a very light yellow colored body with a slim half finger foamy white head that dies fairly quickly.
The smell is floral, and slightly spicy.
The taste is spicy yet bitter with a slight spicy aftertaste and dry finish.
The palate - whoah, holy carbonation, I’m thinkin’ this may be a bit over carbonated. Its very light in body and very sessionable.
Overall, to be honest after going through most of the six pack I really wasn’t into this, and its actually just ok for the style.
