Damm’s first Märzenbier was created in 1953. In the early years, it was only brewed between October and April and wasn’t made for the rest of the year. In 1955, as it had become a great success, it was decided to brew the Märzenbier all year round. It was given the name Voll-Damm. “Voll” in German means full, complete. The name suited a strong, intense and full-bodied beer. During cooking we add Nugget, Magnum and Taurus variety hops, which are responsible for the characteristic bitterness of Voll-Damm.

Bottled. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and cereal. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, cereal, and alcohol.

Can. Pours golden with a big near off white head. Aroma is nice roasted malts with grain and toffee, as well as some sweet and zesty honey. Body is full with average carbonation. Flavour is sweet with roasted malts, grain, butterscotch, honey and alcohol, as well as some notes of zesty hops.

Tasted many times. It´s a "strong" double malt with intense flavour. Nice carbonation and the flavour is dominated by cereaol notes. Small head. Brown colour and medium bitterness. Next one please!

Golden coloured body with a very thin tan head. Aroma of malt, cereal, rice and some nice sweetness. Medium-bodied; Strong sweet flavour of honey and flowers mixed with a lot of malt and a nice mellow apple flavour. Aftertaste shows a good mix of malt, sugars, honey and rice with a smooth alcohol vibe and little else. Overall, a very nice and surprisingly smooth beer with some maltiness, but a lot of honey sweetness throughout. I sampled this 33 cL can purchased for €0.75 from a small grocery store earlier today, sampled in my apartment in Barcelona, Spain on 13-April-2014.

Takie sobie slodkawe marcowe piwo. Podobne do oktoberfest niemieckich ale sporo gorsze za sprawa mocy i posmaku etanolu ktorego nie znosze oraz zbytniej slodyczy. Troche moze rekompensuje stylowa etykieta i zwlaszcza spora i trwala piana. Kolor jasno bursztynowy, spore nagazowanie. Ale chmielowej goryczki nie uraczylem wogole. Za slodkie to najwiekszy minus tego piwa.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.Clear medium yellow colour with a average, open and frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, phenol, alcohol, glue, sharp, sweet marzipan malt, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a long long duration, malt sweet, alcohol sweet, alcohol, malty, dry finish, raw alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
